THE RAINY WEATHER - APD GOLF DAY A GREAT SUCCESS
The
annual APD Golf Day, held at Parkview Golf Course on Friday,
27 September 2007 was an overwhelming success. The spring
rain was welcomed and did not deter the dedicated golfers.
The attraction for these golfers is the challenging and
unique established character of the PARKVIEW GOLF COURSE
with its tall trees and ubiquitous Braamfontein Spruit.
The golfers were well rewarded for their talents on the
golf course. This included having an indulgent neck and
shoulder massage on completing their game as well as thousands
of rands worth of prizes and gifts.
The winning 4 ball team each received an APD trophy sponsored
by Ngwenya Glass:
Dave Merrington
Avi Nathan
Win Keller
Graham Pretorius
The Tiffendell summer holiday for 6 was won by Bianca Swartz
The midweek break with The Golf Resorts Club was awarded
to Mr Subramoney.
Andy Capastagno and his SuperSports Team enjoyed their
day. Andy entertained the Golfers later in the afternoon
with his witty jokes as master of ceremonies.

OF THE YEAR Every
year the APD pays tribute to a client who has made the most
progress during the year towards maximising his/her potential.
The hallmark of this award is courage. The winner is someone
who is an inspiration for all our clients and epitomises
everything the APD stands for.

Traditionally, the winner receives a certificate and R5
000 cash prize during the Annual General Meeting of the
APD which normally takes place in June.
This year we are hoping to find a sponsor for this award
who will not only provide the prize money, but also some
catering costs.

Panel of Judges and receive publicity
· in our Annual Report,

| EASTER
STAMP FUND …a brand new look after
more than 60 years!
In
1945 the Cripples’ Care Association launched a stamp-based
fundraising campaign which, throughout the decades, became
known as the Easter Stamp Fund and made a significant contribution
towards the funds our association needs to render its services
But times change and the era of e-mails and cell phones
have had a very negative impact on the sales figures of
this project.
The 2007 campaign is going to be something very exciting.
For the last couple of months one of South Africa’s
Loerie Award-winning agencies has been developing a new
campaign for the APD.
If everything goes according to plan, this campaign will
be launched during the last quarter of 2006.
Please keep an eye on our web site www.apdjhb.co.za for
full details.
