APD MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to be totally committed to working in partnership with people who have physical disabilities, and their families, in order to promote their integration into society, and to enable them to achieve their full potential.

HOW SUCCESSFUL HAVE WE BEEN?

For the last seven decades APD has played a pivotal role in the lives of hundreds of thousands of disabled people of all ages.

The service APD provides to its clients covers the full spectrum: from basic day-to-day needs (eg feeding, washing and dressing), through rehabilitation (both physical and psychological), to training (skills, life and care-giving), transport and employment facilitation.

To render a service such as this obviously requires a great deal of money. Since 1934 many millions of rands have been entrusted to the APD. Its unblemished record bears testimony to the integrity of the Association and the many people who have served it during the years.

APD’s goal is to enable the disabled to live normal lives, independent of the services provided by the association.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR OUR HELP?
We pride ourselves in the fact that we turn our back on nobody, regardless of gender, race, age, financial status or reason for physical disability.
There is only one condition: you must reside within the geographical area that we serve.
