Announcement:
The Association for the Physically Disabled Greater Johannesburg (APD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Rachel Legasa to the position of Director with effect from 01 April 2010.

Background and Chairperson’s Comments:
Rachel joined the APD in December 1992. She has been a member of the executive management team since March 2003 and management representative on the Association’s governing board since 2005

Rachel was appointed Director Designate on 01 July 2009. “Since then”, says Ms Mapuleng Lesoro, Chairperson of the APD’s Board, “Rachel has worked hard and with considerable commitment to ensure the smooth takeover of the Director’s responsibilities from the retiring incumbent, Mr Dave Fox. Her appointment is very well deserved.”

And not forgetting the outgoing Director, Ms Lesoro added “At the same time as congratulating Rachel on her appointment, I would also like to thank Mr. Fox for his valuable contribution to this organization over the past seven years. He will be sorely missed by our staff and by our Board members.”
