APPLICATION TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER OF THE APD

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
· We give you the guarantee that you will serve an organisation that is above reproach in the way in which it conducts its business.
· We see you as a valuable ambassador of the APD and you will be treated as such.
· We undertake to conduct all our dealings with you in a professional manner.
· We undertake to issue you with an official APD identity card that will confirm that you are a volunteer of this prestigious organisation.

YOUR COMMITMENT TO US
· I understand that I will not receive any payment for the services I provide as a volunteer of the Association for the Physically Disabled – Greater Johannesburg.
· I undertake to familiarise myself with the activities of the APD.
· I undertake to comply with the code of conduct of the APD and not to do or say anything that could damage its reputation.
· I undertake to treat that which I am asked to, as confidential.
· I realise that the APD will depend on me to perform the duties that I accept and therefore commit myself to see any project assigned to me through to its conclusion.
· I undertake to perform my duties to the best of my ability and to keep the APD informed about my progress as well as any problems that may occur.
· I undertake to give the APD adequate notice if I should decide to terminate my services.
· I undertake to only use my official APD identity card in performing the duties assigned to me, and to return this card to the APD in the event of my leaving the organisation for any reason.
· I undertake to inform and give the APD any monies or donations received by me on behalf of the association.
· I undertake not to approach anybody for any donation whatsoever without the permission of the manager: corporate communications.
